Consolidated Gold Mine

Consolidated Gold Mine has always been our "go-to" attraction for visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the history surrounding the fascinating gold rush of Dahlonega. We have a unique inside look into the world of gold mining since we have produced several documentaries surrounding the famous gold rush of 1828 in Dahlonega. My father, Gary Gray, was also a tour guide at Consolidated Gold Mine for almost 10 years.

If you are interested in American history then you will love this place. It is also a super fun experience for the kids as they can engage in actual gold panning, and gem mining. They offer a large gift shop and have some beautiful custom jewlery available as well.

The guided tour into the old mine will take you 120 feet underground as you will walk along the original mine car tracks. You will discover fun stories and interesting facts about the dangerous life of a gold miner. This tour is great for kids of any age.
