Our Local "Chill" Restaurant

Sharing great travel destinations and exceptional dining experiences will be a common theme with Chill Life. We live in the small, but history rich, town of Dahlonega, Georgia. This town offers many writing opportunities which I will be doing on a regular basis, but for now, I want to feature one of our favorite restaurants in our home town of Dahlonega, Yahoola Creek Grill. This place is at the top of our "chill" restaurant list for many reasons. The owners and staff are super friendly and you can see that they love what they do. Chef Nick brings a delicious line-up of unique comfort foods to the menu with something for everyone. They usually offer a variety of "specials of the day" which are always a fun surprise. Bring the whole family as Yahoola Creek Grill is definitely family friendly.

The adult drink menu offers many of the classic mixed drinks, but there are also many house specialties to spice up dinner. Sangria is a regular offering and is refreshing and on point. Wine and beer options give you plenty of choices to pair with any entree. Slide up to the bar and enjoy conversations with staff and others while you take in Chef Nick and the impressive kitchen staff as they prepare meals.

The second you walk in the door at Yahoola Creek Grill you are greeted by those familiar, friendly smiles that make you feel like family. This isn't always easy to pull off for a restaurant, but the manager, Leah, has got it figured out. Oh, did I mention that you need to save room for mouth watering dessert choices to satisfy that sweet tooth? Cobblers, cakes, puddings, pies, mousses and more. There are usually homemade desserts made fresh each day.

Sherrie and I have enjoyed dining at Yahoola Creek Grill over the years. This restaurant has consistently delivered exceptional food and service and it's why we return time and again. We eat like kings, hang with friends and we enjoy one of the most chill and fun dining experiences in Dahlonega.
